Kim Fuglsang

Team Leader
Age: 52
Vocations: Managing Director of the Fuglsang Malting and Brewery
Home: Haderslev, Denmark
Civil status: Married to Lene
Children: Three sons Nicolai (22), Oscar (20) and Victor (17)
Hobby: Sailing, rowing, singing

I grew up in Haderslev, Denmark. The school years were passed at our local German School. In our Capital, Copenhagen, I then was an apprentice in an international shipping company, studied international business and finally worked for a Scandinavian Supermarket Chain for 11 years in Copenhagen, California and Spain. Since my family roots are in the southern province of Jutland, very near to Germany, my wife and I returned to my home country Haderslev in 1993. Here our three sons grew up too.

Today I work in our family business, the Fuglsang Brewery and Malting. Although most of my time is spent at work, Rotary is also very important to me. Several years I have been responsible for a Short-Term-Summer Camp, where 10 young Europeans spend 2 weeks sailing on Denmark’s oldest wooden sailing ship.

My family spends weekends at our summer house on an island in the Baltic Sea. I like sailing and taking a hike in the beautiful nature. Also occasionally I do rowing on the lake we have in our town.

In wintertime, when it is cold and dark, I enjoy singing in a classical choir.

Civil status: Not married. Yet.
Hobby: 1st line: travelling and dancing 2nd line: Books – music – movies
Moto: It‘s all about the tripple L: Love – Live – Laugh.

My name is Diana Karpec and I am 28 years old vegeterian from Lithuania.
I was born in Kaunas, the second biggest city of Lithuania, but at the moment I am studying/working /living in the capital of our country.
I am a resident of Rheumatology in Vilnius University Santariskiu Clinics and if I am lucky (and actually I am), I will become a specialized rheumatologist next year. Besides clinical work, I am involved actively in scientific research projects concerning systemic rheumatic diseases. So I will be learning all my life, I guess. And it makes me happy!
Talking about my leisure time, I could say I have got two biggest passions- travelling and dancing. These are the main factors I learn about life from. Every trip I make gives me unbelievable experience because of various situations as well as amazing people I meet. And dancing is the best tool to free my body, mind and soul. Personally I am fascinated with Lindy Hop dance at this period of life, but surely this style might change if I found the new attraction. I do really enjoy spending my spare time with my family and close friends. To my mind, the feeling of happiness grows when it is being shared.

Civil status: living together with my girlfriend, Linda
Hobby: jogging, skiing, hunting

I live In Kolding, which is the 8th largest city in Denmark and is located in the center of the country. I was born and raised in a small suburban village just outside Kolding. 9 years ago when I started my study at the International Business College, I decided to leave the suburban life. Now I live with my girlfriend Linda in an apartment in the center of the town.

I work at the company Nykredit as a financial advisor. Nykredit is the largest real estate bank in Denmark. My primary functions are consulting people when buying their houses.
I have been a financial advisor for 5 years. In those 5 years I have been working in 3 different departments in 3 different cities. Nykredit is a large company and I have therefore had many opportunities to try different working areas. Today I consult people who want to build a new own house or people who want to sell their old house and buy a new house or flat.
In my leisure time I like jogging, and last year I conducted my first half marathon. Since then I have been jogging at least twice a week. I am planning to run another half marathon within the near future. Besides that I am fond of water sports such as sailing, water skiing, diving, fishing and hunting.

In the winter I like to snowboard. I have previously been a skiing guide in a large ski sport resort in France. It was a great time and I still try to go there at least once a year with friends and family. It's a great way to get together, have fun and relax.

Age: 29
Work: financial consultant

Home: Vilnius, Lithuania
Civil status: married, 1 child
Hobby: Travelling, snowboarding, swimming

My name is Irma. I’m 29 years Lithuanian.

I live in a capital of Lithuania. I was born there, I grew up there and I am still there. It is small, it is old and it is beautiful and cozy (who wouldn't say that about their home town).

I work in a management consulting field for one the largest Lithuanian accounting companies and I have been in mergers and acquisitions business for the last 4 years before that.

Next to professional addictions I have a strong need for beautiful things, as most women do, so I create clothes. I design, I knit and I use unusual materials such as bamboo yarn or linen or posh Italian wool. I am a curious person, therefore in a spare time I continue my studies at CFA institute. When I can afford it, I love to travel, I read books, watch films and when I get tired from intellectual occupations and I start feeling, that energy is trying to get out of me, I go swimming or snowboarding. I do it with my closest: my family, my friends, my dog and my colleagues. All together sometimes. I think people have to be close to feel happy. And I am.

Civil status: in love... with life
Hobby: music, singing, dancing, languages, travelling, bicycle, psychological literature

I am 27 and live in Klaipeda, the only harbour of Lithuania. I hold Master’s degree in Business Law. Currently I work as a lawyer in the law firm. My responsibilities are legal consultations, preparation of legal documents and contracts, negotiations and legal translations. As my work requires always to be “up-to-date”, my interest in economy and politics is a must, not only a need. I like to spend my free time actively. My favorite activities are travelling and bicycle. Also, I cannot live without music – singing, listening, dancing, going to concerts or clubs… Doesn't matter whether it is pop, rock, classical… Music is everywhere with me. Sometimes I find myself in a need of peace and quietness. Then I run into the nature, by the sea, to the forest or park. With a cup of hot coffee in my hands I can walk for hours…
